The Newsletter module is used for creating mailing lists and sending newsletters. The module implements common subscription scheme familiar to most users.
 
Main Features

The Newsletter features include:

   
Anonymous and registered subscription
Subscription categories
HTML or text message format
Newsletter can be sent to groups, individual recipients
Import of subscribers
Subscription confirmation message
 
The module allows to:
create and display an unlimited number of subscriptions, e.g.: company news, partner news etc.;
select one of the following subscription models:
 
subscription with the imperative user registration;
unauthorized anonymous subscription (users are identified by the e-mail address only);
allow users to choose between the two above variants;
  permit users to select the message format: html or text;
send the confirmation message to a subscriber (classic implementation that asks a user to click a link to confirm his subscription address is correct and that they confirm the subscription);
keep and manage the unlimited database of subscribers;
allow clients to unsubscribe or edit the subscription preferences on the site;
copy subscription issues;
prepare subscription messages in both HTML and plain text format;
encode 8-bit headers;
send messages to subscribers directly from the site;
  register the event of opening the message (in the Statistics module);
  select recipients by the subscriber database, user groups, subscription format, address; select additional recipients;
  send messages individually to each subscriber (the field To contains the subscriber's address);
  stepwise dispatch procedure to send messages to a large amount of subscribers;
  view the message dispatch status;
  keep message history with full lists of recipients for each message;
  send images in HTML messages as attachments for compatibility with newer browsers;
  import subscribers from a file or a list; a recipient can be subscribed to many categories, enrolled in the system as a user with binding to specific groups or subscribed anonymously; a subscription confirmation message can be sent in the format of any site;
  option to customize messages for individual users.
